Members of NJ SEED Attend Energy Briefing at PSEG Salem Nuclear Power Station

NJ SEED, among other NJ business leaders and organizations, were invited by Mr. Bill Levis, President & COO of PSEG Power to attend an Energy Briefing at The Salem and Hope Creek Site in Hancocks Bridge, NJ. Several members of NJ SEED attended the full day event on August 12.

After departing from Trenton by bus, the group passed through numerous security protocol to enter the facility and were then warmly greeted with a welcome breakfast and introduction from the General Manager of Public Affairs, Mike Tuosto.  This was immediately followed with a fascinating energy briefing by President of PSEG Power, Bill Levis.   After the very informative briefing, members had the opportunity to tour the nuclear stations and gain a firsthand look at the plant power operations and the security support operations.

Following the tour, members enjoyed lunch and a discussion on various topics surrounding energy and the need for future development.   NJ SEED thanks Trustees Art Guida from PSE&G, Jim Benton of the NJ Petroleum Council and Michael Egenton from the NJ State Chamber for their coordinating efforts.
